Who We Are
Founder’s Vision
Being born and brought up in Kekisingh village, Gajapathi district of Orissa, Rev. Hananiah Lima – No basic amenities, struggling for one meal.
Came to undivided Korapur Dist(Now Rayagada) – Joined as a teacher in a Govt School 1974 Panasapadar (Potter Community, Dalit and Tribal Community), Barigumma of Kashipur block.
Late Rev. Hananiah Lima (1951–2020) was a committed educator and social reformer who dedicated his life to serving tribal and marginalized communities in Odisha. Beginning his career as a government school teacher in 1974, he worked in remote regions of Rayagada and Koraput districts alongside his wife Mrs. Christo Kumari Pani, to improve access to education, infrastructure, and basic amenities.
Beyond teaching, he actively advocated for social reform—addressing untouchability, child marriage, harmful superstitions, and barriers to healthcare. Even after retiring as an Educational Officer in 2010, he continued serving rural communities until his passing in 2020.

We Facilitate Safe Learning Spaces
At Hananiah Foundation, we believe that every child deserves a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment to learn and grow. We work to create learning spaces where children feel secure, respected, and motivated to explore their potential.
Through community learning centers, educational support programs, and interactive activities, we provide opportunities for children and youth to access quality learning beyond traditional classrooms. Our safe learning spaces promote curiosity, creativity, and confidence while ensuring that every learner feels valued and included.
By partnering with communities, volunteers, and educators, we strive to remove barriers to education and build environments that nurture knowledge, personal development, and lifelong learning.
